Many people think that sugar is unhealthy because it is just empty calories. Although sugar is devoid of any essential nutrients, this is not what makes it bad for you. Instead, sugar is bad for you because of the high amounts of high fructose content, which directly affects your metabolism and causes metabolic disease.
